There was bonnie Prince George, in an outfit reminiscent of his father’s younger years, Princess Charlotte, in the same Spitalfields silk and Honiton lace christening gown worn by her brother, the Duke of Cambridge in a classic navy suit, and the Duchess of Cambridge in a cream Alexander McQueen dress.
But in a similar fashion to the Duke and Duchess' wedding in 2011, it was sister Pippa Middleton who was attracting attention at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, England overnight, resplendent in a cream dress by none other than New Zealand-born Emilia Wickstead.
The 31-year-old complemented the bespoke high-necked ensemble with nude Charlotte Olympia heels and a Jane Taylor Millinery cocktail hat, to match her sister.
Wickstead is often favoured by Kate herself, who has worn creations from the London-based designer to many official outings, including events for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Born in Auckland, Wickstead moved to Milan at age 14 before studying at London’s Central Saint Martins. Her label began as a made-to-measure business in 2008, soon developing a following in certain West London circles for her contemporary take on event dressing.
