1. Following the release of her epic visual album Lemonade, featuring outfits from Gucci, Givenchy and more, Beyonce kicked off her Formation tour in Miami with more fashion references. The superstar wears seven bodysuits throughout her performance, including custom pieces from Gucci, Balmain, Dsquared2 and Roberto Cavalli. She also released new tour merchandise, including a "Boycott Beyonce" printed T-shirt that cheekily references the controversy surrounding her Superbowl performance and references to Black Lives Matter.

2. Karen Walker will no longer show at New York Fashion Week. The designer wrote an op-ed for fashion website Business of Fashion, where she wrote about the challenges of the timing and pace of the global fashion system. "At Karen Walker, there are no more shows for us as, these days, there are simply much better ways to engage with the industry and the customer," she wrote. It follows her appearance at the website's panel talk in Sydney earlier this month.

3. Oscar de la Renta will close Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia in May. The New York-based brand will present a summer 2016 collection, reflecting MBFWA's goal to be a platform for resort collections from local and international designers. Australians Dion Lee, Zimmerman and Tome will show, plus New Zealand brand Georgia Alice. Model of the moment Bella Hadid, sister of Gigi, is also set to fly in for the week.

4. The British Fashion Council, headed by Net-a-Porter.com founder Natalie Massenet, has announced a shake up for the British Fashion Council Awards. It will now be known as the Fashion Council Awards, with the revamped event to be held on December 5 at London's iconic Royal Albert Hall. The awards will have a new global focus, honouring British and international talent, with the aim to raise significant funds over the next ten years to help support young people coming up in the fashion industry.

5. Tiffany & Co. has named Grace Coddington as a "creative partner". The former Vogue creative director has styled celebrities for the jewellery brand's upcoming campaign, and told Women's Wear Daily, "To me, this is not just an ad campaign, but an opportunity to portray a legendary house of luxury through modern portraits of uniquely talented subjects". The appointment follows the release of Grace's first fragrance, a rose scented perfume in a cat themed bottle in collaboration with Comme des Garcons.
