Our first introduction to Australian singer-songwriter Julia Jacklin came in the form of her debut solo album Don't Let The Kids Win in 2016 which blew us away with her rich voice and witty lyrics.
Although hailing from the Blue Mountains, just out of Sydney, Julia recorded her album in Lyttelton at producer Ben Edwards Sitting Room Studios. Ben has been responsible for records by Nadia Reid, Aldous Harding and Marlon Williams, who Julia has also toured with.
This month sees the release of her solo follow-up Crushing (out February 22) and a four-date New Zealand tour. We catch up Julia in the Viva Talks podcast below.
