Rihanna is well known for her love of jewellery, and she has now turned her hand to designing it in a collaboration with Chopard, which launches in June.

The Diamonds singer, who regularly wears Chopard jewellery on the red carpet, has teamed up with the brand on a nine-piece capsule collection of fine jewellery as well as one-of-a-kind High Jewellery creations which will be showcased during the Cannes Film Festival in May.

The Rihanna Loves Chopard high jewellery pieces are inspired by the singer’s home country and feature exotic floral designs and vibrant, Carnival-style coloured gemstones, following Chopard’s increasingly bold use of colour in its high jewellery collections.

Rihanna has already debuted three pieces from the range: the extravagant floral chandelier earrings and marquise-cut diamond ring that she wore at the Grammys in February.

The range also features a pair of transformable diamond earrings, which Rihanna modelled on the March 2017 cover of Harper's Bazaar.

"I have always been in love with Chopard’s exquisite jewellery, so to actually design collections with them is something I still can’t believe," Rihanna said in a statement. "It was a really incredible process and I learned so much! I can’t wait for everyone to see it."

In addition to the High Jewellery creations, Rihanna has collaborated with Chopard’s co-president and creative director Caroline Scheufele on additions to the Ice Cube range, a Chopard classic that was originally released in 1999.

The graphic, geometric designs see cubes of ethically certified Fairmined rose gold interlinked with solid ceramic blocks in Rihanna’s chosen 'jungle green' - the first time Chopard has incorporated ceramic into the line.

"Rihanna and I collaborated closely on the collections so you can feel her unstoppable energy, strong creativity, and inherent sense of design in every piece," says Scheufele. "With her unique style, she redefines the way people see and wear jewellery."

The nine-piece capsule range will be available in stores internationally from June. With 2,000 editions of each design available, the brand is anticipating a sell-out.
