1. Auckland Festival of Photography
Artists, academics, curators, amateurs and professionals are part of this year's Auckland Festival of Photography. The programme includes the works of two artists, Peter Evans (above) and Murray Lloyd, who are highlighting the issue of available natural resources with two independent suites of work at the Depot Artspace.

3. Himalayan Trust Art Auction
More than 40 leading New Zealand artists are auctioning off their works to raise money for those devastated by the recent earthquake in Nepal. The pieces include a photograph from Marie Shannon, a sculpture by Judy Darragh and paintings from Karl Maughan and Sarah Hillary, the daughter of Sir Ed, which have been donated to raise funds to rebuild schools and hospitals in the Solu Khumbu region.

4. Rock Divas
Musician Anika Moa and former Fur Patrol singer Julia Deans are performing new and old songs together accompanied by the sounds of an orchestra.

This critically acclaimed documentary is about a nanny who secretly took over 100,000 photographs, discovered decades later in storage lockers, and became one of the 20th century's most notable photographers.

This missing-persons drama written by Shelagh Stephenson and directed by Andrew Foster is about a husband and wife's grief over the disappearance of their son.

9. The Genius of Road Dahl
Best-selling children's author David Walliams is delving into the world of one of his own favourite authors, Road Dahl. In this hour-long special, Walliams visits the writer's birthplace and old school and speaks to friends and family to find out more about what influenced his work.

This acclaimed Spanish film is based on two homicide detectives investigating the disappearance of two young teenagers.

Diversity is at the forefront of Canadian artist Jean Dubois' latest video installation, which includes a series of portraits from residents of central Montreal. The interactive exhibition encourages passersby to change the faces of the displayed people by blowing into the microphone of their mobile phones, which will either emit a gentle breeze or a gust of wind depending on the intensity of breath.

12. Flight of the Cocktail
Auckland restaurant Orleans is hosting a series of events dedicated to learning about and celebrating cocktails through seminars and tastings over four days, including a modern degustation and a tiki cocktail workshop.

13. Treats
Inspired by contentious play A Doll's House, Christopher Hampton's Treats explores the plight of women trapped in violent relationships. Director Alistair Brown is tackling the play 30 years on, with the hope of influencing the present.

14. No Town
Wellington artist Caroline McQuarrie's new solo exhibition looks at the deserted towns of the West Coast, photographing sites combined with her trademark craft works.

15. Ballet Revolucion
