1. Bru in Bondi
Every single day for the last three years I have ventured to Bru in North Bondi to indulge in a weak latte and (more frequently than I like to admit) a sneaky quinoa porridge — I'm obsessed. They make you feel like true locals and have the best coffee in Sydney.
2. Tamarama Beach
Although I am definitely stuck in the Bondi bubble, when it comes to swimming in the heat of summer, I always walk the extra few kilometres to Tamarama Beach on the scenic coastal walk (my favourite walk). This hidden gem always has a much more calm vibe about it compared to Bondi, and the water is always beautiful.
3. North Bondi Grassy Knoll
Sunday evenings on the North Bondi Grassy Knoll are my favourite. It's the best spot to bring a picnic blanket, a bottle of wine, fish 'n' chips or a cheese platter with the girls, while watching the sunset in the distance.
4. Porch
Newly renovated, this iconic hot spot in the Eastern Suburbs is one of my favourites places to wine and dine my Friday nights away. My recommendation is the cheese platter and deconstructed cheese cake with a glass of red.
5. Edwards & Co
If you're in need of some pampering, Edwards & Co in Surry Hills is the most amazing hair and beauty salon. Loved by an array of fashion bloggers and models, this stunning destination is definitely worth the visit. Just make sure you book.
6. Apollo
Whenever I have a friend visiting Sydney, I always take them to Apollo for lunch or dinner. Known for its signature modern Greek dishes including saganaki cheese, taramasalata mullet Roe dip and warm bread, and oven-baked lamb shoulder — everything is melt-in-your-mouth good and definitely worth sharing with a bunch of friends.
7. Tuchuzy
From Alexander Wang and Acne Studios, to Bassike and Georgia Alice, Tuchuzy in Bondi is literally the dream one-stop-shopping destination for all your favourite international and Australian designers.
8. Coogee Pavilion Rooftop
From mojitos to pina coladas, the Coogee Pavilion Rooftop bar is the best place to enjoy a drink or two while taking in stunning ocean views.
9. The Opera House
There are a few tourist destinations you must always check off when you visit Sydney, one being the iconic Opera House. One thing I love about the Opera House is the variety of shows and concerts they have on, all year round. From Florence and the Machine to the Opera Gala on New Year's Eve, it is definitely worth checking out the schedule when you visit Sydney and going to a show if possible. Otherwise venture down to Opera Bar for a pizza and a cocktail while you take in the view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House all in one.
10. Palm Beach
If you're keen to explore the coastline and get out of the city, Palm Beach is definitely a good destination to visit. Roughly 1.5 hours north of Sydney, Palm Beach is perfect for a day trip or weekend away for some R&R and sunshine. Make sure you visit The BoatHouse for brunch while you're there — the food is absolutely delicious and their selection of fresh blooms is always amazing.
