It's taken 10 years since its creation to reach a New Zealand retailer, but Black Orchid, the first fragrance under designer Tom Ford's name, will soon be on sale here. The opulent scent is emblematic of Ford's impactful style and we're counting down until his fragrances and makeup are on counter, first at the new David Jones department store in Wellington which opens on July 28 and then, come September, at Smith & Caughey's, Auckland. The Atelier des Ors French fragrance house was set up just a year ago and has five fragrances designed to have unisex appeal by nose Marie Salamagne.
