Eating . . . Homemade steam buns
Homemade steam buns from an iconic Auckland eatery  Pinati's. The family run business is a great place for traditional Samoan delicacies (try the tasty coconut and German buns fresh out of the oven) and deserves a shout out for providing everyone with comforting soul food.  Dan Ahwa, creative director

Viewing...NZ Music Month posters
As NZ Music Month kicks off, the Auckland Museum is showing support for New Zealand music and music venues by sharing posters showcasing Auckland bands and iconic Auckland music venues. Very cool and you can check them out on their website here.

Watching . . . Outerbanks
I'm completely hooked on the new Netflix teen-adventure series Outerbanks . . .it's like Gossip Girl meets National Treasure (but way better than that sounds). Brilliant character development and representation of friendship, with each fast-paced episode packed with adrenaline. Also, hurray for actors playing 16-year-old actually looking their supposed age.  Sarah Downs, writer

Watching . . . Normal People
It's been a long lockdown waiting for the live-action adaptation of Normal People to be released, and the great news is all episodes are available from April 30 on TVNZ On Demand. Based on the best-selling book by Irish author Sally Rooney, Normal People follows the magnetically connected Marianne and Connell as they weave in and out of each other's lives. Described as 'a story that explores the subtleties of class, the electricity of first love, and the complex entanglements of family and friendship', the series is already being praised overseas as an excellent adaptation of the novel, so I can't wait to immerse myself into that world again.  Rosie Herdman, assistant fashion editor

Following . . . Tussen Kunst & Quarantaine
With museums forced to shut their doors, art lovers stuck in isolation are cleverly recreating famous artworks using random things they find at home such as toilet paper, food, old clothes.  The Instagram account @tussenkunstenquarantaine  "tussen kunst en quarantaine" is Dutch for "between art and quarantine" is collecting the best examples from around the globe, and now has 245K followers. Genius.  Sarah Downs, writer

Re-watching . . .  French director Michel Gondry's music videos
Old music videos by French director and screenwriter Michel Gondry, whose film credits include Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Be Kind Rewind, Dave Chapelle's Block Party and The Science Of Sleep. His music videos like Beck's Deadweight, The Foo Fighter's 'Everlong', Kylie's 'Come Into My World', The Chemical Brother's 'Star Guitar' and many more, pretty much sum up my current state of mind  a mixture of feeling a little discombobulated but still hopeful for a brighter day.  Dan Ahwa, creative director

Booking. . . Reb Fountain tickets
Singer-songwriter Reb Fountain has released her stunning new self titled album this Friday and rescheduled tour dates for October. We will be listening weekend-long...and booking gig tickets ASAP. Order the album and tickets here.  Sarah Downs, writer
