A great rug can make a room. Here are some inspiring options.

A rug is like art for the floor, and some are so beautiful that whole rooms are designed around them. Whether you’re aiming to make a statement, or add some warmth and texture to your space, these options

When it comes to size, bigger is usually better. In a living space, a rug should be large enough to sit under the couch, coffee table and armchairs, creating a living “zone”, and in the dining room, the table and chairs should all fit within the confines of the rug. In the bedroom, a rug under the bed keeps things cosy in winter, and should be sized so that it sits under two-thirds of a queen or king-size bed. The main thing is your feet hitting a cushy surface when they swing out of bed, rather than a cold floor.
