Lakes and Waterways Action group are hosting Cam Speedy, Genesis Energy's environmental co-ordinator at their meeting on November 17.
Cam has been with Genesis for 10 years, building on 25 years of conservation experience, and is passionate about the Taupō district and its unique ecology.
"We are so lucky to have a large, deep lake, with such high water quality, supported by significant protective forests and large ecologically-diverse wetlands, in our watershed," says Cam.
Cam will be presenting on Genesis Energy's environmental monitoring programme for the Tongariro Power Scheme including water flows and in-stream ecology as well as aquatic weed management.
Projects relating to whio conservation, eel management and fisheries health will also be reported on.
