"For thirteen years we have put our heart and soul into this business and now is time for us to take a step back," says Grant Best as he explains that he and wife Lorraine are calling last orders on their time at Stadium Restaurant and Bar.
The couple have run the bar, within the TET Multisport Centre, since 2003 and say they have very fond memories of their time there.
"We've always lived in Stratford, but being here gave us the opportunity to meet so many new people and we have loved that," says Lorraine.
Grant adds that growing the business within the community and being involved with international sporting events such as the Oceania Cup have been real highlights.
Bruce Cleland, chairperson of the Stratford Community Sport Society which governs the TET Multisport Centre, says they are very grateful to Grant and Lorraine for all they have offered while running the business within the centre. "They have done a wonderful job of managing the facility, which has allowed each of the sports codes to focus on their own development."
