After 10 years at the helm, Sue Morton is leaving her role as director of the Percy Thomson gallery in Stratford.
"I always wanted to leave when I wanted to, not because I had to," she says. "The gallery is really buzzing, I am leaving it in a good place."
Sue's last day will be on May 25, and she says that this month will be "bittersweet" as she prepares to leave the place she has spent so much time in. "I won't be gone completely," she says, adding that she plans to often pop in and enjoy the exhibitions and shows.
In Sue's time at the gallery, she has seen a wide range of art adorn the walls, from Rembrandts to carpets, as well as a naked Miss Taranaki dressed in body paint last year.
"They've all been so different," she says of the exhibitions.
