Unseeded Tim Henman stunned Andy Roddick 7-6, 7-6 in the Paris Masters semifinals yesterday, two days after the American became world No 1.
The Briton's brand of serve-volley tennis consistently foxed the US Open champion, who earned a code-of-conduct warning at the end of the first set for banging his racket into the court.
Henman will play unseeded Andrei Pavel in today's final after the Romanian ousted Czech 14th seed Jiri Novak 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.
