Remuera and West End were the big movers in the fourth round of the Caro Bowl interclub competition in Auckland after each side grabbed 5-1 victories over Kohimarama and Belvedere respectively.
The match between Davis Cup teammates Mark Nielsen (West End) and James Greenhalgh (Belvedere) aptly finished in a third-set tiebreak with Nielsen taking the match, but not before Greenhalgh had a number of opportunities to win with his serve in the third set.
Mission Bay came close to a draw against Waiata but couldn't quite close out the contest, with Henry Gers winning the final match of the day for Waiata 7-5 in the third set over Kruger Maasai.
Parnell still lead the competition after a 6-0 win over Pakuranga. Waiata remain in second place with 23 points, four behind Parnell, with Remuera now in clear third on 19 points.
The women's competition was more straightforward, with Kohimarama using top junior Dianne Hollands to dispatch an understrength Remuera side 6-0 while Royal Oak also made short work of Bridge Park 6-0.
Top side Parnell won 4-2 over new team Bucklands Beach.
