The second quarter-final at the Heineken Open ended after just three games with Gregory Carraz of France withdrawing with a right thigh and groin injury.
Carraz was playing Spanish hotshot Rafael Nadal, 17 who had a 2-1 lead.
Carraz, 28 had an injury break at 2-1 and then returned to the court serving one ball into the net before telling the umpire he could not continue.
Nadal will now face second seed Jiri Novak in tomorrow's semis.
