New Zealand tennis players have been in winning mood in tournaments around the world.
Auckland's Rubin Statham has progressed to the semifinals of the singles at the US$10,000 ($14,654) L'Aquila Futures in Italy.
In windy conditions Statham, 18, made a strong start to win 6-2 7-5 against Italian Manuel Jorquera in the quarter-finals.
He now faces top seed Benjamin Rufer of Switzerland in the semis.
In the United States at the US$10,000 Decatur Futures in Illinois, Davis Cup players GD Jones and Dan King-Turner each won their second round singles matches and will play each other in the quarter-finals.
Jones defeated American Tyler Cleveland 4-6 7-6(7) 1-0 retired while King-Turner beat seventh seeded South African Stephen Mitchell 7-6(5) 6-2.
At the US$25,000 China satellite in Tianjin, Adam Thompson has made the semfinals of week one beating India's Ashutosh Singh 6-3 1-6 6-3.
The sixth seeded Kiwi now plays top seed Yu Wang of China for a place in the final.
