KEY POINTS:
New Zealand's Shona Lee and Ellen Barry are through to the final round of qualifying in the US$25,000 ($38,000) Port Pirie tennis tournament in South Australia.
Barry defeated Austrian Andrea Hofinger 6-3 7-5 and then Australian Ashleigh Richardson 6-1 6-1 and faces Britain's Georgie Stoop for a spot in the main draw.
Lee beat Australians Annelisee Tepper 6-1 5-7 6-3 and Megan Price 6-2 6-3, and plays Claire De Gubernatis of France in the final qualifying round.
Meanwhile, in other tournaments:
* Leanne Baker is into the second round of qualifying at the US$50,000 ($76,000) tournament at Lawrenceville, Georgia after winning 6-0 retired over American Beau Jones. She now faces American wildcard Whitney Byrd.
* Rubin Statham lost his second round qualifying match at the US$25,000 Caloundra Challenger in Australia.
* This week Marina Erakovic will play the main draw of the US$75,000 ($114,100) event at Kaohsiung, Taipei, and Dan King-Turner plays in the main draw of a US$15,000 Futures event in Sunderland, Britain.
