New Zealand tennis No 1 Dan King-Turner has reached the singles and doubles quarterfinals at the US$15,000 ($20,397) Seogwipo Futures event in Korea.
Dan King-Turner, the tournament eighth seed beat Korean qualifier Ju-Hae Moon 6-4 6-2 in the first round and then Chinese player Mao-Xin Gon 4-6 6-3 6-2 to set up a clash with Japan's Norikzu Sugiyama in the last eight.
In doubles King-Turner and Dane Frederick Nielsen, the top seeds, beat a Korean wildcard pair Yoo-Hyo Park and Seung Hwan Seol 6-3 6-1.
New Zealander Rubin Statham and Taiwan's Ti Chen also beat a Korean wildcard team in the first round -- Chang-Ho Choi and kwang-Mu Chung 7-5 7-6.
