New Zealand tennis players are competing around the world this week in a variety of locations at the top level.
Michael Venus is in the ATP tournament at Marrakech in Morocco where he and Croatian doubles partner Mate Pavic are the third seeds. They are scheduled to play Argentines Facundo Bagnis and Federico Delbonis in the first round.
Marcus Daniell and Artem Sitak have been granted a wildcard into the Houston ATP tournament on clay in Texas after a great run of four weeks in Mexico Challenger tournaments featuring two titles and two semis for 12 match wins and two loses.
Daniell and Sitak will face American third seeds Eric Butorac and Scott Lipsky in the first round of Houston.
At the WTA tournament in Katowice in Poland Marina Erakovic lost her second round qualifying match in three sets, but will play doubles in the main draw with Italian Karin Knapp.
Also Rubin Statham is entered in the US$50,000 Challenger at Gwangju in Korea this week.
