KEY POINTS:
Kiwi tennis No1 Dan King-Turner will face his third New Zealand player in a row when he takes on Rubin Statham in the quarter-finals of the ASB Pro Circuit in Wellington today.
King-Turner accounted for Wellington 17-year-old Finn Tearney 6-0, 6-3. Statham caused a bit of a boilover with his win against the talented seventh seed Brydan Klein (Australia), who was erratic and foul-tempered.
Statham chased down every ball to win the first set 6-3 and was down 2-5 before staging a remarkable comeback which added to Klein's on court woes.
There will be no New Zealanders in the women's quarters after second seeded Ellen Barry lost to Australia's Cassandra Chan after winning the first set 6-1, then dropping the second 6-2 before losing in a tiebreak.
