New Zealand tennis No1 Dan King-Turner fought back to win his second career singles title after downing top seed Takahiro Terachi at the US$15,000 ($19,878) Futures event at Karuizawa, Japan.
King Turner, ranked 485 in the world, struggled at the outset but eventually beat the 376th-ranked Japanese player 0-6 6-4 7-6. He won the final tiebreak 7-3.
The match was moved indoors as a result of rain in the early stages of the second set.
King-Turner had been down 0-2 in the second set before mounting his comeback.
His only other title came at the Futures tournament in England last year.
In the doubles final, King-Turner and American partner Minh Le were beaten in three sets.
