New Zealand tennis player Sacha Jones has broken through for her first international titles, scooping the singles and doubles crowns at a Futures tournament in the United States.
Her wins over the weekend at Brownsville, Texas, come after 20 weeks away from top tennis while recovering from a mountain biking injury.
Jones beat qualifier Ester Goldfield 6-3 2-6 6-0 in the singles final and then teamed up with Ashley Weinhold to beat local wildcards Goldfield and Harkins 6-3 6-3 in the doubles decider.
