Barrett Franks (Christchurch) pulled of a major win in beating Rodney Cook in three sets to take the men's singles at the Aotearoa Maori Championships in Hamilton.
At 15 years old, Franks became the youngest winner in the 81-year history of the event by beating Cook, a former US Collegiate player and former Maori champion.
Mangere Combined Caro Bowl teammates Tracey O'Connor and Luci Barlow collected two titles each with O'Connor taking the singles and sharing the doubles with Barlow who also won the mixed doubles with Quentin Wallace.
