New Zealand No 1 Marina Erakovic has won her way into the semifinals of singles and the doubles final at the US$25,000 ($32,300) La Coruna Challenger tennis tournament on clay in Spain.
Erakovic, 19 and who is ranked 176, is the tournament's top seed. She beat Switzerland's Stefania Boffa in the quarterfinals 6-0 6-2 to set up a clash with the 242nd ranked Andrea Hlavackova of the Czech Republic.
Hlavackova beat New Zealander Sacha Jones in the first round.
In doubles as top seeds, Erakovic and Britain's Melanie South, won their quarterfinal against Spaniards Paula Fondevila-Castro and Silvia Soler-Espinosa 6-4 6-4 and then beat Anna Hawkins (Britain) and Australian Emily Hewson 7-5 7-6(1) in their semifinal.
In the final they play Hlavackova and Germany's Justine Ozga.
