New Zealand's Marina Erakovic and her Romanian partner Monica Niculescu fought back from a set down to take the second in the final of the Wimbledon girls' doubles this morning before going down to the third seeds.
Fourth seeds Erakovic and Niculescu saved two match points in the tenth game of the third set before losing 6-4 3-6 6-4 to the Belarussian pair of Vicktoria Azarenka of Belarus and Volha Havartsova.
They had earlier beaten the tournament second seeds in the semis to reach the final.
Erakovic bowed out in the third round of the girls' singles.
Contesting the final capped off a successful three weeks of grasscourt tennis for Erakovic.
She made the doubles quarterfinals at the Gerry Weber Open in Germany then finished runner-up in the singles and won the doubles at Roehampton the week before Wimbledon.
