World No 125 Erakovic plays Russian Alla Kudrysavteva who eliminated Czech Republic player Petra Kritova earlier in the week, 6-7, 7-5, 6-1. Erakovic beat the 20-year-old Russian in straight sets in Beijing two years ago. The Kiwi reached the last four at the ASB Classic in Auckland, before bowing out to French player Aravane Rezai 6-3, 7-5.
The Memphis tournament is a Tier 3 event, with US$175,000 prizemoney.
