Defending US Open champion Martin Del Potro has returned home to Argentina to recover after surgery on his right wrist, which could keep him out for the heart of the tennis season.
Del Potro said yesterday he felt more relaxed but declined to speculate when he might return.
Reports in Argentina suggest he will miss at least three months, which would keep him out of the French Open and Wimbledon - and possibly the US Open.
He will also miss Argentina's quarter-final tie against Russia on July 9-11 in the Davis Cup World Group.
