New Zealand tennis player Leanne Baker has won her way into the main draw at the US$50,000 ($76,946) tournament at Ashland, Kentucky.
Baker beat Ukrainian Tetiana Luzhanska 6-4, 6-3 for a place in the main draw and will face American Julie Ditty in the first round.
In doubles, Baker and Australian Nicole Kriz won their first round contest against Americans Jessica Kirkland and Nehah Uberoi 7-6, 3-2 retired.
