KEY POINTS:
New Zealand tennis No 1 Marina Erakovic has been gifted valuable court time on a grass surface ahead of Wimbledon starting next week.
Erakovic and her Dutch partner Michaella Krajicek have advanced to the doubles final at the Den Bosch Open in Amsterdam.
They did it the easy way, too, being awarded a walkover in their semifinal today against Romanian Andreea Ehritt-Vanc and Tamarina Tanasugarn, of Thailand, when Ehritt-Vanc was forced withdrew due to a left shoulder injury.
Erakovic and Krajicek play Liga Dekmeijere, of Latvia, and Germany's Angelique Kerber in the final tomorrow.
It marks Erakovic's second WTA doubles final in less than a month while her world singles ranking has risen to a career-high No 54. Late last month she lost the doubles final in the Istanbul Cup.
Her buildup to Wimbledon in London gained momentum in recent weeks after she appeared for the first time in a Grand Slam event at last month's French Open in Paris where she reached the second round in the singles.
She was also bundled out in the second round of the singles in Amsterdam this week by Ukraine's Alona Bondarenko.
Before that she was confirmed by the New Zealand Olympic selectors for the Games in Beijing, reached the semifinals of the Edgbaston Classic in England and won a smaller grass court event in Surbiton.
