New Zealander Marina Erakovic's tennis comeback was boosted yesterday with a doubles win in a US$75,000 ($106,810) WTA event in Toyota, Japan.
Erakovic and partner Tamarine Tanasugarn (Thailand) accounted for the Japanese combination of Akari Inoue and Akiko Yonemura 6-1 6-4 in the final.
Earlier, they beat tournament second seeds Yayuk Basuki (Indonesia) and Kimiko Date-Krumm (Japan) 6-3 6-3 in the semifinals.
