The Australian Open will follow the US Open and introduce an instant replay challenge system that relies on video evidence for disputed tennis line calls.
This year's US Open was the first Grand Slam tournament to introduce the video replay system, although the technology had been used at the last Hopman Cup in Perth and other ATP events.
The "Hawk-Eye" system will only be used on Rod Laver Arena where two giant TV screens will be installed.
Australian Open spokesman John Lindsay said organisers were yet to decide if they would limit the number of challenges - the US Open allowed two challenges per set to review line calls - or allow unlimited challenges.
