A bout of nerves appeared to hamper Marina Erakovic in her junior singles quarter-final at the Australian Open in Melbourne.
Ninth seed Erakovic, 16, played the top seed and her doubles partner, Victoria Azarenka of Belarus losing 6-1, 6-3.
The match was transferred from the outdoor Margaret Court Arena, which seats 6000 spectators, to the Vodafone Arena with the retractable roof closed and a capacity of 10,000.
Around 200 spectators made the trek to watch the match and were disappointed in the first set as the 15-year-old Azarenka quickly held serve and then broke Erakovic in the second game.
Erakovic was unable to counter the power of her opponent and made uncharacteristic errors.
The tall Azarenka (1.80m) played and acted beyond her years with an attitude of a world top-10 player including the squeals and shrieks not dissimilar to 17-year-old Russian, Maria Sharapova.
Despite being broken in the first game Erakovic did get a foothold in the set by holding her serve in the third game and then breaking her opponent in the sixth.
Erakovic's 20 unforced errors counted against her.
