During the two initial round robins of the Louis Vuitton Cup regatta, four races take place simultaneously, using two of the three courses reserved on the Hauraki Gulf.
The America's Cup final is raced in the same general area with the course being determined each day by the race director.
Both regattas use a 6-leg course (3 windward legs and 3 downwind legs) covering a total distance of 18.5 nautical miles.
