SYDNEY - Melbourne and Kiwis prop Jeff Lima has escaped a charge after being reported for a "crusher" tackle in Saturday's National Rugby League (NRL) win over Cronulla.
Lima wasn't charged by the NRL judiciary over the suspect tackle on Sharks centre Matt Wright in the 30-10 win at Olympic Park.
But Lima's teammate Adam Blair is facing a one-match ban after being charged with a grade one dangerous throw in the game, even if the Kiwis international takes the early guilty plea.
The only other player charged from the weekend's action is Gold Coast back-rower Anthony Laffranchi, who has also been charged with a grade one dangerous throw charge.
The NSW Origin player faces a one-match ban if he takes the early plea but could miss two matches if he contests the charge and is found guilty due to loading from prior offences.
Wests Tigers veteran John Skandalis, the only other player placed on report aside from Lima in this weekend's matches after a high tackle against Canberra on Sunday, has also escaped a charge.
