LONDON (AP) Treve has been voted Europe's Horse of the Year in the Cartier Racing Awards after capping an unbeaten 2013 by winning the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
The French-trained three-year-old beat Sky Lantern, Moonlight Cloud, Novellist and Al Kazeem to the prestigious honor at a ceremony in London on Tuesday.
Treve has won all five of her races, the latest coming at Longchamp where she cruised to a five-length victory in Europe's richest flat race, and will remain in training for 2014.
Unbeaten Frankel won the 2012 award.
