Last time Sunease went to Alexandra Park he bolted in - tonight he will be even better.
The three-year-old looks an anchor in the first leg of tonight's $50,000 Pick Six judging by the confidence of co-trainer Ian Small.
Sunease slaughtered maiden opponents last start even though he did not trot squarely for most of the 2700m race.
" We adjusted his shoeing and had Clare McGowan go over his muscles and she found a few little things wrong with him," said Small.
"Since then he has worked great and I think he will brain them."
Victory tonight would be enough to earn Sunease a trip to the $A50,000 Victoria Trotting Derby on July 29, in which he would join stablemate Martina H.
The latter has been racing slightly below par during her Victorian campaign but co-trainer Derek Balle flew to Australia this week and has reported back the filly is getting back to her best.
Racing: Sunease set to brain opposition
