The well-related Manhattan Street is progressing well along the path to a return to black type competition.
Trainer Lisa Latta said the close relative to the multiple group one-winner Lankan Rupee is on target to resume in the group three Inglis Sale Cambridge Breeders' Stakes at the end of the month, providing underfoot conditions are to suit.
"He's had a couple of jump-outs and I'm looking at kicking him off in that three-year-old race at Te Rapa on April 29. "I'll be keeping an eye on the weather though, he needs a wet track."
Manhattan Street showed his liking for rain-affected going when he was unbeaten in his first three starts last season, including the Ryder Stakes.
He suffered his first defeat when runner-up in his three-year-old debut behind Highlad in the Wanganui Guineas before connections decided to try their luck in Australia.
