Peter Snowden landed his fourth winner of the Melbourne Cup carnival with Launay who won his second race in four days when he led all the way at Flemington.
Owner Sheikh Mohammed was at the track on Melbourne Cup day to see Palomares win and Snowden said he got a big buzz out of it.
Later on Tuesday the stable scored with Launay who backed up to win the Masterfoods Condiments Plate (1600m) yesterday while their other winner was Backgammon on Oaks Day.
Sent out $3.50 favourite, the Lonhro 4-year-old was beautifully rated in front and held on for a 1 length win over Willy Jimmy ($8) with Sale Cup winner Eraset ($5) the same margin away third.
The win gave the stable's top Australian jockey Kerrin McEvoy his third winner for the week, after Tuesday's double.
Snowden praised McEvoy who recently returned to the saddle after breaking a vertebra in his back in a race fall in June and spending several weeks in a body brace.
Launay, who has won five races from 11 starts, would be spelled.
