An inquiry into the raceday treatment of a Melbourne Cup runner trained by Gai Waterhouse has been adjourned.
Waterhouse was asked to front the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board yesterday to answer charges over the use of an antibiotic cream on Tres Blue in Tuesday's race.
But a Racing Victoria tweet said the RAD Board panel had accepted an application from Waterhouse's legal team to have the hearing adjourned.
The inquiry will be now be held next Friday at 10.30am local time.
Tres Blue was allowed to run in the Melbourne Cup because stewards were satisfied the cream was a legal substance.
