Waharoa's Wedgewood Stud, in the Waikato, is now being run by the trust which owns the property.
Jan Bain Holdings is operating Wedgewood but the stud's shape for the new season is uncertain.
It has been confirmed that the stallion Colombia has been shifted by his owners to Matamata stud Paramount Lodge but no decisions have been made on resident sire Mughtanim and the expected new stallion Adam.
The Mowbray Rd property had previously been leased by stud owner Rob Lithgow who said was taking legal advice.
Wedgewood moved from Matamata in March this year.
The acquisition of Adam has been put on hold.
