The scratching of Holme And Away means backmarker Dynamic Motoring should extend a fine record at Manawatu Raceway tonight.
He contests the $5500 Pinnacle Palmerstonian Classic Handicap Pace (2500m), third leg of the TAB treble, on the first night of a two-day meeting at Manawatu.
He will start from the 20m mark.
Dynamic Motoring, who has won three races at Manawatu, including an outstanding double at the November meeting, ran a solid fifth in the Wellington Cup at Hutt Park last Sunday.
Providing he does not blow the start, he should not be too far from the leaders turning for home.
He has a powerful sprint, which was evident in his two impressive wins on the track in November.
He will be driven again by Maurice McKendry.
Another highlight is the clash in race eight between unbeaten three-year-olds Mister DG and Red Poplar.
Mister DG, a son of Camtastic and champion mare and Manawatu/Addington darling Blossom Lady, is trained on the track by Stephen Doody and has had two starts.
Red Poplar, trained at Woodville by Matt Hickey, has had just the one start and was impressive winning at Hutt Park last Friday.
