"The win at Cessnock was quite promising and with a bit of luck he should run well."
Horsey McHorseface will face stiff opposition from Ultimate Fantasy, who was unlucky not to win a Benchmark 65 over the mile at Gosford last start.
The tight track cost her victory that day and Wyong trainer Kim Waugh believes she can go one better.
"We are going down there because the tracks up around here have been heavy and it looks a like nice race for her," Waugh said.
"She flew home last start (to finish second) and Brenton (Avdulla) thought with a bit bigger track she would have won.
"She gets back naturally a little bit but it's a nice long straight there, which is a big difference, and she is doing everything right."
Ultimate Fantasy was a $2.80 favourite with the TAB yesterday. Horsey McHorseface was at $6.
BRAD DAVIDSON'S BEST BETS
BEST BET: ULTIMATE FANTASY (Race 6, No.8)
Only the tight track and awkward barrier cost her last start at Gosford and she drops in grade. She should go close on the spacious Goulburn track.
NEXT BEST: MATRIMONY (Race 5, No.7)
She just got left flat footed at Gosford last start but she clocked the quickest last 200m split of the race and she gets out to what should be a suitable trip now.
BEST VALUE: GIANT'S DAUGHTER (Race 7, No.9)
I'm prepared to forgive her last start flop in town where they went far too hard in front. She was caught three deep at her two runs prior and represents value at $8 today.
OTHER BEST: SPRINGER (Race 2, No.2)
Her two recent trials have been pleasing and her two runs last preparation were both full of merit.
BEST EXOTIC
Quaddie: 1st leg: 1, 3, 7, 8. 2nd leg: 8. 3rd leg: 2, 3, 5, 9. 4th leg: 1, 3, 4, 10, 11.
JOCKEY TO FOLLOW: COREY BROWN
Corey Brown has been in fine form of late and the top jockey will travel to Goulburn for five rides.
TRAINER TO FOLLOW: JOHN THOMPSON
John Thompson will be represented by up to nine runners at Goulburn today, including five acceptors in Race 3.
