COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) The U.S. Olympic Committee gave CEO Scott Blackmun a contract extension through the 2016 Olympics that raises his base salary 10 percent, to $550,000, while eliminating long-term incentive bonuses.
The 56-year-old Blackmun took over for Stephanie Streeter in 2010 after the USOC went through turmoil in the wake of its firing of Jim Scherr.
Blackmun made $461,931 in base salary and $231,750 in bonuses in 2012.
The USOC board approved Blackmun's new contract last month, but did not announce it publicly.
