UPDATE - Laura Langman was the one new cap named in the New Zealand netball team today for a home series against England next month.
A midcourter and the New Zealand under-21 captain, Langman, 18, first made the larger Silver Ferns squad last year.
She travelled with the national side to Australia last November as a training partner.
Lesley Rumball (nee Nicol) has been named captain, with Anna Rowberry still unavailable due to injury.
A National Bank Cup player for two years with Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic, Langman was also part of the Waikato team who won the national provincial title last September.
Silver Ferns Coach Ruth Aitken said Langman would add youth to the experienced Silver Ferns midcourt line up.
"Laura has produced some fine performances in the time she has been in the Silver Ferns squad and has really taken the step up needed to become a Silver Fern," Aitken said.
"She is a fantastic athlete with an excellent fitness base and her skill and ability has really stood out at all Silver Ferns training sessions."
Langman heads to Jamaica and the United States on Thursday with the New Zealand under-21 team for a two-week tour.
They are to play matches against the Jamaican, Australian and England under-21 teams as well as United States Invitation sides.
The tests against England are on March 12 at North Shore, March 16 in Wellington and March 19 in Invercargill.Team:
