KEY POINTS:
Australian netball captain Liz Ellis has been diagnosed with arthritis, although it won't stop her from playing at the world championships in Auckland.
The veteran defender said the prognosis was a better outcome than the stress fracture she had feared was behind constant pain in her foot over the past four months.
Although the condition may curtail certain types of high-impact training, Ellis was adamant it would have no bearing on her playing ability before the Australian Commonwealth Bank Trophy domestic semifinals this weekend and the November world championships.
