Force coach Yvonne Willering could finally break out in a smile yesterday after confirming Fijian netball representatives Matila Waqanidrola and Matelita Shaw in her side.
Last week Willering released the names of just 10 of the 12 players, holding off naming of the final two until consultation with Netball New Zealand over player eligibility.
Under National Bank Cup rules each team is only allowed one import. Both Waqanidrola (a defender) and Shaw (a shooter) played for Fiji in last year's world championships in Jamaica.
"Because Matila has played for Netball North for the past two years and intends to play again for a whole season this year, we are in the fortunate position of being able to have another Fijian player in the team," Willering said.
"Matelita Shaw is our one allowable import."
The eight franchise teams had until noon yesterday to confirm their 12-strong squads.
Most had done so last week.
Just the Force, Auckland Diamonds and the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic had gaps to fill.
The Magic yesterday added South African midcourter Liezel Wium and the Auckland Diamonds named 19-year-old Arahi Wall as their 12th and final player.
The cup starts on April 17.
