KEY POINTS:
World No 1 ranked amateur golfer Danny Lee will head the New Zealand men's team to contest October's world teams championships in Adelaide.
Lee, from Rotorua, will be joined by James Gill of Hamilton and Jared Pender of Tauranga in the Eisenhower Trophy from October 16-19. Hawkes Bay's Nick Gillespie is the reserve.
Gill, 22, has been based in Scotland for the last year where he graduated with a Master of Finance from St Andrew's University. He is first alternate for the US Amateur championship beginning today. Pender, 25, has forced his way into the team after outstanding form on the domestic front.
New Zealand's only triumph in the Eisenhower came in 1992 in Canada.
NZ Golf also announced the team for the women's Espirito Santo Trophy.
It is headed by New Zealand Amateur champion Dana Kim of Christchurch and US-based Cathryn Bristow and Natasha Krishna for the October 8-11 tournament in Adelaide. Whakatane's Zoe-Beth Brake is the reserve.
