The Canterbury Yacht Club sailor led the 22-strong fleet from the gun. Fellow Cantabrians Jeff Morrison and Brett Willcock, from the Charteris Bay Yacht Club, finished second and third respectively.
Graeme Bates, of the Napier Sailing Club, had taken line honours ahead of Goodmanson, but was later disqualified after starting on the wrong side.
Richard Hawkins, of the Otago Yacht Club, leads the Noelex 22 championships after posting two wins and a third.
After three races, the South Islander heads Neil Chandler, of the Timaru Yacht Club, by two points and Alan Holdt, of the New Plymouth Yacht Club, by 10 points.
