New Zealand golfer Danny Lee is in good shape after the opening round of the PGA Tour's AT&T National in Maryland.
Lee is in a share of 14th place after firing a two under par 68.
However, it would have been even better if not for a disaster on the second to last hole. Lee put his approach into the greenside bunker from just 55 metres out, and then took three shots to get out of the sand to end up with a double bogey.
Lee finished the day six shots off the leader, American Anthony Kim who fired a blemish free eight under par 62. Tiger Woods is tied for second at six under, alongside fellow Americans Bryce Molder and D.A. Points.
