New Zealand's top golfer David Smail continued his solid start to the Japan Tour with an 11th-equal finish in their second tournament of the year yesterday.
Smail shot a final round of one-under-par 70 in the shortened 54-hole Tsuruya Open to finish on six-under 207, eight shots behind the winner Hiroyuki Fujita at the Yamanohara Golf Club.
Smail was in a six-way tie for 11th, with Australian veteran Craig Parry among them, and earned 1,773,000 yen ($26,684) to be ranked eighth overall on the tour moneylist.
